SYMBOLS of RUSSIA One symbol is the Russian national flag. It has three stripes: white, blue and red. These colours have always been symbolic in Russia: white –noble and sincere, blue –honest and devoted, red has always meant love and bravery. Another symbol of Russia is the birch tree.
